What is AI literacy? +
AI literacy is the ability to understand what artificial intelligence can and cannot do, use it confidently and responsibly in your role, and apply good judgement about when to rely on it. It is not about knowing how to build AI: it is about knowing how to work with it effectively and safely.
Why does sector-specific AI training matter? +
Generic AI training teaches tools. It rarely changes how people actually work. When training uses the scenarios, regulations, and language of your sector and role, people recognise their job in the content immediately, and behaviour change follows far more reliably.
What does the EU AI Act require for training? +
The EU AI Act requires organisations deploying or using AI systems to ensure their staff have sufficient AI literacy to understand the systems they use. The specific requirement depends on the AI risk category involved. SUSY is aligned with these requirements and can be used to evidence compliance.
How long does it take to complete SUSY? +
Each module takes approximately 35 to 45 minutes. The full ten-module pathway takes most learners eight to ten hours to complete, typically spread over four to eight weeks depending on how the organisation structures the rollout.
Do we need to have our own AI tools before we start? +
No. SUSY teaches AI literacy skills that apply regardless of which tools your organisation uses or approves. The practical exercises use widely available tools, and the bespoke organisational context module can be built around your specific approved tools once you are ready.
Is SUSY only for people who already use AI at work? +
No. SUSY is designed for the full range of readiness, from people who have never used an AI tool to those who use them daily. The first module deliberately starts with no assumed knowledge. The sector-specific scenarios are what make it relevant to everyone, regardless of their starting point.
