About SUSY

Built because most AI training
doesn't actually work

SUSY is developed by uptakeAI. We build sector-specific AI literacy grounded in the psychology of how people learn, not how technology works.

The story

Why SUSY exists

Most organisations approaching AI training make the same mistake: they start with the technology. They explain what AI is, how large language models work, what prompts are. And people nod along and then go back to their desks and carry on exactly as before.

The problem is not knowledge. It is habit. People need to see AI working in situations that look like their job, feel the confidence that comes from doing it themselves, and practise in a way that builds the habit of reaching for it. That is a learning design problem, not a technology problem.

SUSY was built by uptakeAI to solve that problem. Every module is structured around a real role in a real sector, using scenarios that reflect how that person's day actually works. The result is AI literacy that sticks, not a half-day workshop that is forgotten by Friday.

We started with housing and events because they are sectors with urgent need, strong industry bodies, and a clear gap in provision. Manufacturing and construction are next. The methodology is the same; the content is entirely different.

The SUSY approach

What makes it different

SUSY is not a generic AI course with your logo on it. Every element of the design reflects how adults learn in a workplace context.

Relevant

Every scenario, example, and exercise is built for a specific role in a specific sector. Housing managers see housing scenarios. Events salespeople see events sales scenarios. Nothing is adapted from somewhere else.

Practical

Each module follows a Watch, Try, Apply structure. Learners observe a technique, practise it with guided support, then apply it to their real work. The goal is changed behaviour, not completed modules.

Responsible

Ethics and accountability run through every pathway, not just a separate compliance module. Learners develop an understanding of data handling, bias, and responsible use that is embedded in how they practise from day one.

Scalable

Annual organisational licences cover the whole team, from board to front line. Admin dashboards give L&D and HR leads visibility of engagement, completion, and progress without chasing individuals.

How we build

Built with the industries we serve

We do not write content from a desk and assume we know what a housing officer or events sales manager does. Every sector pathway is built in genuine partnership with the people who work in it.

1

Deep sector research

We start by building a detailed picture of how each role actually works: the decisions people make, the tools they use, the pressures they face, and where AI could realistically help them today.

2

Industry body partnership

We partner with the leading trade body in each sector to validate content, access practitioners, and ensure the platform reflects real working environments rather than assumptions about them.

3

Role-specific scenario writing

Every exercise is written around a specific role, using real terminology, real decisions, and real documents from that working environment. Learners recognise their job in the content immediately.

4

Watch, Try, Apply structure

Each module follows the same learning architecture, moving from observation to guided practice to independent application. This is not an accident: it reflects how skills are actually acquired and retained.

5

Ethics embedded throughout

Responsible AI practice is not a bolt-on module at the end. Data handling, consent, and accountability considerations are woven into every pathway from the first exercise to the last.

6

CPD accreditation

All SUSY pathways carry CPD accreditation. For organisations where professional development carries weight internally or with regulators, completion of SUSY modules counts towards CPD records.
